Need to have someone come to your home and review a furniture piece in its space before you decide to paint it? What color would look good on it? How will it fit with other pieces within your home or with your personal style?
Let us work with you to create that piece that fits into your home and does NOT look like its a painted piece…yes that’s right. We don’t want your piece to look like it was just painted or out of place by color or style.
We will work with you with in your existing space and help you create a piece or pieces that would fit well not only in your home but in your life and how you live.
Design Consultations are focused on a furniture piece to be painted and situated in a particular room. We will recommend color and techniques for the piece and speak to how it would fit in your space. Prior to session you will be given a list of things to have “out” and ready for us to work with while at your home.
Sessions are 1 hour long. Fee includes travel time and mileage with-in a 15-20 mile radius of our shop in Kensington MD.
Once you have paid we will contact you to schedule your in home consultation.

Hearing about Bahia and On the Purple Couch from one of her neighboring businesses, we started consulting with Bahia. Working with her, including a house call, was a pleasure. She gave us several samples to give us an idea of how different colors and washes would look. Once we decided, we sent our buffet off to Kensington for Bahia to do the chalk-painting and waxing.

So here’s my story. After living and traveling all over the world-Paris, Dakar, Mauritius, Vienna, New York, Lisbon-… as a child with my West African parents, I decided to settle down in the Washington, DC area in 2001 and change careers.
