Tigerlily Foundation

Tigerlily Foundation is our charity of ‘Choice’ & we are official sponsors of the organization.  That means, we have pledged to the organization an annual financial commitment in support of their work. We believe in their work and believe that are able and should support them achieve their goals. We hope you consider joining us as we support their work and mission.

As a 5-year survivor of breast cancer, Maimah Karmo is committed to educating young women around the world about breast cancer; and empowering them to be their own best advocates. She is dedicated to changing the young adult breast cancer landscape and seeks to impact the quality of care and lifestyle for young women affected by this disease. The foundation is focused on support and services for women under 40 who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

She chose to name the organization Tigerlily because like a flower loses its petals in the Fall and Winter, then blossoms and grows in the Spring and Summer, a woman undergoing treatment can also find her true beauty, strength and be transformed during and after breast cancer.

On September 15, 2012,  On the Purple Couch, LLC participated in Tigerlily Foundation’s 1st annual 5 k walk/run.  We were proud to have a team of ladies raise money and walk for this cause.
