Wondering what we do in class or what you might get out of it? here are some comments from our students…much appreciated guys…
- Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your time, expertise, patience, good humor, and commitment to Annie Sloan paints yesterday. The small class size was perfect—it was fun to interact with others who shared my interest in the process and my awe at what you do. I came to the class to learn techniques to make one furniture piece unique. I can’t wait to get started on that piece, and you have inspired and empowered me to do so much more. Hope to sign up for another class!- Bonnie F.
- I visited the Purple Couch to attend a chalk painting (Annie Sloan) class. Bahia (the owner and stockist) of Purple Couch is very professional and pleasant. She handled the class really well and is very knowledgeable of the chalk paint process and products. I would definitely recommend others to visit the store to take the chalk painting class and browse her store. Charles Almonte, Interior decorator on Houzz.com
- I took a chalk paint class at On the Purple Couch and it was amazing! Bahia is a warm and friendly person. Not to mention, a patient teacher. She was helpful and fun. We learned a couple of great techniques that really gave me the confidence to tackle my numerous projects. Chalk paint is versatile and a great way to invest a little elbow grease and turn something old into something fab! I highly recommend you visit On the Purple Couch, take a class, buy a piece, it’s a great business. Rachel Williams on Houzz.com
- “I had a great time in class experimenting with the Annie Sloan chalk paints. I would highly recommend the class to anyone who has an interest in the product. My thanks to Bahia for introducing me to the world of chalk painting.” Joyce

Carla Schlecht Luggiero (on facebook) After taking Chalk Paint 101, I refinished this antique nightstand using the two color paint distressed technique with dark wax accents. My paint colors are Versailles (a putty greenish gray) covered with Old White. It is absolutely beautiful! Thanks to “On The Purple Couch!”
